Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories brings you the one Liberty City story among a million that changes everything.  Once a trusted wise guy in the Leone crime family, Toni Cipriani was forced into hiding after killing a made man.  Now he's back and it's time for things to be put right.

The streets of liberty city are in turmoil.  Warring Mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking, and union strikes.  No one can be trusted as Toni tries to clean up the mess of the city's chaotic underworld.  Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians, and his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone control.  Forced to fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake Liberty City to tis foundations, Toni must use any means necessary to secure his place in the leadership of the Leone family in a town up for grabs.

• Liberty City Survivor - The first player to reach the Kill Limit or have the most kills when the Time Limit has been reached wins the game.  Killing another player earns you a point, but kill yourself and a point will be deducted.  Or team up and kill the opposing gang members.  The first gang to reach the Kill Limit or have the most kills when the Time Limit has been reached wins the game.

• Protection Racket - Destroy four limos at the opposing gang's base and defend the four limos at your based from incoming attackers.  Two rounds let you take on Attacking and Defending roles - the second Attacking gang must destroy the limos within the first gang's time limit to win.

• Get Stretch - Each gang must steal their opposing gang's car and return ti to their own based while protecting their own gang car from being stolen.  You can return your own gang car by driving it back to base or by destroying it.  Your gang car will automatically be returned to your base after a short period of time if it is unattended by the opposing gang.  You must have both gang cars on your base to enable a successful capture.  The first gang to reach the Score Limit or make the most captures within the Time Limit wins the game.

• The Hit List - Kill the Marked player as quickly as possible, and survive as long as possible when you are the Mark.  Making a successful kill on a Marked player will award you with extra survival time at the end of the game.  The player with the longest survival time wins.

• Street Rage - Players must drive through the checkpoints to get to the finish line first.  Players are allowed to change vehicles and shoot other players to win the race.  Players will be automatically re-spawned in a vehicle on the track after a short period of time if they do not have a vehicle or if they have been killed.

• The Wedding List - This is a free-for-all game where players must collect cars scattered throughout the city and deliver them to shipping crates.  Only players in the vehicles to be collected will know the destinations of the shipping crates.  Cash is awarded based on the condition of the cards when they are delivered.  Once all the cars have been collected and delivered, the player with the most cash wins this game mode.
