Characters:
David Jones
Born in Cardiff in 1965 David Jones was a bit of a tearaway as an adolescent. After spending a short period in a youth detention centre, he immediately joined the British Army. Plenty of hard work and training defined him as one of the most highly regarded NCOs in the parachute regiment. Shortly after his sixth year in the services he applied to join the Special Air Service Regiment. He left the regiment after three years service due to an injury sustained during a parachute jump. He made a full recovery, and was recruited by the IGI team as a field operative With the help of Major Anya, and Captain Harrison he successfully foiled a plot by a KGB commander to detonate a nuclear war head at a nuclear power plant. He is still an active field operative for Project IGI.
Major Rebecca Anya
Following the end of that conflict, her research into digital battlefield and TIDA (Target Identification Designation and Acquisition) systems brought her to the notice of Lenehan and her consequent acceptance of a vital role in private sector warfare. Injuries sustained in a recent field mission have confined Anya to desk duties until she is declared fit for active duty again.
Jack Priboi
The "smiling Russian who sells many many guns" was last heard from immediately following his involvement with an insane KGB officer and the supply of a US W-88 nuclear warhead. Though deeper underground, there is no doubt that Priboi is still in business, as 'new' stockpiles of his trademark weapon - the classic AK47 - have recently been located in both the Middle and Far East. Although his convoluted distribution network makes it near impossible to pin down his location, current intelligence places him somewhere within North Africa.
Republican Senator Pat Lenehan
Pat Lenehan is the founding father of IGI, and has been responsible for funding and recruiting IGI members since the organisation inception in 1995. He served in the Korean War as a 1st Lieutenant in the US army artillery division. He earned the respect of his colleagues and superior officers, when North Korean forces had encircled his unit, and Lenehan led a brave assault to break out, and go for help. Lenehan was the last of his platoon left alive when he reached HQ, and as a consequence of his efforts the whole unit was evacuated safely. He retuned to the US as a hero, and became a respected man in his local community. Within six years he was Mayor, and inside ten he was a leading figure of the Republican Party. Today he is one of the longest serving Senators in the House of Representatives.
Weapons:
You start the game with just your combat knife, a G-17SD, and an MP5A3. As you progress, many other weapons will become available to you. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Some guns will suit silent and stealthy killing, others are needed for all-out gun fighting action. It's up to you to decide which is best suited to each task.
